April Newsletter 2025

Spring is finally here, and with it comes one of my favorite reminders—we all have a part in taking care of this planet we call home. April is Earth Month, and while we’re not out here selling solar panels or electric cars, we do help people make smarter, more sustainable choices with their insurance.

Going paperless? Driving a hybrid or electric vehicle? Energy-efficient home updates?

This month, we’re also highlighting something near and dear to my heart—supporting local farmers markets. Buying local doesn’t just mean fresh produce (though, let’s be honest, nothing beats it). It means supporting small businesses, reducing environmental impact, and strengthening our community.

As always, we’re here to make insurance easy, answer your questions, and make sure you’re covered without the fluff. Let us know how we can help!

FARMERS MARKETS - GOOD FOR YOU, GOOD FOR THE COMMUNITY

There’s something special about a Saturday morning at the farmers market—the smell of fresh produce, the local honey, the handmade goods, and the smiling faces behind every booth.

But did you know that shopping at farmers markets isn’t just great for your kitchen—it’s great for the community AND the planet?

Why Farmers Markets Matter:

Fresh, Seasonal Food – Fewer preservatives, more flavor.

Supports Local Businesses – Keeps money in the community.

Eco-Friendly – Less transportation = lower carbon footprint.

Reduces Waste – Many vendors use sustainable packaging.

This April, celebrate Earth Month by shopping local, supporting small farmers, and enjoying food that’s fresher, healthier, and better for the planet.

SUSTAINABLE INSURANCE - PROTECTING YOUR HOME AND THE PLANET

Can your insurance be more eco-friendly?

When we think about “going green,” insurance probably isn’t the first thing that comes to mind. But believe it or not, your policy choices can have a real impact on both the environment and your wallet.

Ways to Make Your Insurance More Sustainable

🔹 Go Paperless – Most insurers offer digital policies and billing, cutting down on waste (and sometimes even earning you a discount!).

🔹 Drive Smarter – Many companies provide discounts for hybrid and electric vehicles, and even safe driving habits through telematics programs.

🔹 Insure Energy Efficiency – If you’re making eco-friendly home improvements (solar panels, energy-efficient appliances, smart thermostats), your insurer may offer lower premiums or additional coverage options.

🔹 Bundle & Simplify – Fewer policies, less paperwork, and often bigger discounts when you bundle home, auto, and more under one provider.

Small choices add up! Whether you’re reducing waste, driving cleaner, or making energy-efficient upgrades, your insurance can support a more sustainable lifestyle.
